Samsung, at this time, has initiated the rollout of the One UI 7 update package for both, that is, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6. The update includes a number of new features and significant changes on the foldable devices, such as new AI capabilities, improved user interface, etc.
Galaxy device users can verify if the One UI 7 update is available by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. The update is rolling out in phases, so it may not be available in all regions and device models.
Samsung released One UI 7 with several AI-based features and user interface changes aimed at enhancing personalisation, multitasking and general ease of use on Galaxy devices.
Among the most important features is AI Select, enabling users to create GIFs out of video clips from the Edge Panel by simply swiping. Writing Assist enables formatting and summarizing text within apps and messages, and Drawing Assist offers AI-driven suggestions for improving sketches. Audio Eraser is able to erase background noise from videos to provide cleaner audio.
The update also brings in the Now Bar, a new lock screen feature that displays real-time information like music playback and fitness activity. Google Gemini integration also allows users to control their device with natural language voice commands to search, open apps, or take action.
Some of the other enhancements are improved search for settings and more useful lock screen widgets, all intended to provide a smoother and more personal experience.
Other than this, Samsung has also revamped the bottom dock on Galaxy Z Fold6 with rounded edges and fresh swipe gesture that gets the bottom dock on top after swiping it up from the bottom of the screen.
